The oriole is afraid of the cold, so owners need to pay more attention to keeping warm and raising it in a comfortable environment. When raising oriole, they should pay more attention to the bird's diet.
How to raise oriole birds:
1. Canary cages or chin cages can be used to raise oriole cages. For raising male oriole birds, there are exquisite oriole cages. The food jar prepared for the oriole should have a small mouth, large belly and deep enough for the bird to stand in it to feed.
2. The feed is mainly millet, millet, barnyard grass, perilla seeds, peanuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds, etc. Generally, corn, peanuts and perilla are mixed and ground into powder at a ratio of 3:1:1, or the pellets are divided into 5 parts of millet, 4 parts of barnyard grass, and 1 part of perilla. Usually feed a little cornmeal mixed with egg yolk (the weight to weight ratio is 2:1). Feed 1-2 small skinworms every day, and often feed some cabbage, rape, purslane and a little sand.
3. The oriole likes to drink clean water and loves to be clean. The drinking water must be changed frequently. In spring and summer, set up a good water bath in the cage for water bathing.
4. Clean the cages 1-2 times a week. The oriole should always be placed outdoors to bask in the sun during spring, autumn and winter. However, avoid exposure to the sun in summer. It is best to place the birdcage outdoors in a breathable place to prevent mosquito bites.
5. The control of the oriole during its second moulting period is the key to its feeding. At this time, they are very wary of the outside world and try to provide them with a safe environment; at the same time, they must also pay attention to reducing changes in environmental temperature differences and maintaining a certain temperature. The indoor temperature should generally not be lower than 18°C.
6. The oriole birds that have been purchased are generally familiar with eating flying food. They usually do this indoors and use perilla as a compliment. First put a rope around the neck of the oriole, wait for a few dawns, and starve it for a few hours. Then tie the bird to a wooden stick and let it fly from the stick to eat perilla seeds. You can learn it in a few days, and then gradually open up the distance. Finally, you can put it on the rope and learn to fly indoors.
When raising oriole birds, a healthy environment is very important.
